Transitions PowerPoint

Slide transitions are the actions and effects you see when a presentation turn from one slide to the next in Slide Show View.

PowerPoint has various slide transition options to select from to improve your presentation. Effects incorporate opening like a vertical blind, sliding into view, and dissolving in from the edge or center. I’ll teach you how to see them and you can test them all you want to find the transitions that best appropriate your presentations. Transitions add movement (and if you like sound) between slides. On the left side of the slide window, hold down the Ctrl key and then click the slides thumbnails of the slides or click the single slide thumbnail of the slide to which you want to implement the transition.

Click on the Animations tab. You will see some transitions effects. Click on several transitions and observe what happens. Set the Speed to slow to see well what happened. Below i explain how to set speed.

Click the More button in the Transition tab to see more transition effects.

A menu of transitions appears. Click the transition you want to utilize. PowerPoint applies the transition. If you want to repeat the effect click the preview button at the left of the taskbar on animations tab . Several  transitions do not show well in preview. To see transition full effect press F5 key.

To add a sound to a transition click the down arrow next to the Transition Sound field and then choose the sound you desire. As you scroll your pointer over every sound, PowerPoint plays the sound.

To set the speed of a transition click the down arrow next to the Transition Speed field and then click the speed you want.

    If you want the transition to start after the presenter clicks the mouse, check the On Mouse Click check box. You can make your slides advance automatically after so many seconds using the Slide Transition task pane, check the Automatically After check box and then specify the amount of time you want to slide remains before advancing to the next one. The On Mouse Click check box and the Automatically After check box are both located on the Animations tab in the Transition to This Slide group.

PowerPoint animations

Hi guys today i going to share few concepts about how to add animation to PowerPoint presentations.
You can control how objects move on your PowerPoint slides. In this tutorial I explain how to make effect transitions from one slide to the next and make object animations.
In PowerPoint you can to create the following types of animations.
  • Emphasis effect does something to draw attention to an object slide.
  • Entrance animation control the way in which an object appears onto a slide.
  • Exit animation allows us control which an object leaves a slide.
  • Motion path control how the object moves around a slide.
If you add an animation, you can modify properties on the custom animation pane. The animation pane has many options available.

Add animation to a slide step by step. Click on tab animation.

Select a slide where is the object. In example slide one.

In this example we will go to highlight “Distinguished lawyer” on first slide.

Go to animations tab and
Click the custom animation button.

The custom animation pane appears. Click the add effect drop-down list.

Click on add effect button. Click on entrance and you can see options available (blind, box, checkerboard, and so on).
Click on some affects and sees the preview on your slide.
    For instance select entrance and box effect.

If you want modify the effect, click the dropdown arrow beside of the categories –
Start here you can choose, on click, with previous or after previous effect.

Direction Options vary depending on effect chosen. In this case are in or out.

Speed you can modify this option from slow to fast.

Add music powerpoint

Adding music to a PowerPoint presentation is a easy question If you follow these instructions.
You need to have ready your music in either of two formats Mp3 of wav.
what is the difference between mp3 and wav?
Mainly is the size, mp3 is smaller file size but cannot embedded in PowerPoint presentation and Wav larger size but can be embedded in presentation. There is also a software called WaveMP3 is a little program that will convert "Normal" MP3's into MP3's with the .wav extension so they can be used by programs that don't support the MP3-format, but do support sound-files in the Windows Wave-format. The advantage of this process is that allows PowerPoint presentations of smaller size which may be attached to emails or copy to distribute to others. Is easy to use and free, not install needed. If you use mp3 “normal”, you will need copy both your presentation and your mp3 file to distribute. Click on the images to enlarge it.

First Insert the music in your PowerPoint presentation.
- Open your presentation and display the slide you want to add music.
- From the Insert main menu // Media Clip group // Sound icon on the right side of the ribbon.

Click the drop down arrow of Sound and select Sound from File…. A window will appear allowing you to browse to music file that you want to embed or link with the slide. Choose it and  click OK.

You will see a window asking you to choose the way the music would play.
Automatically – Your music will start when the previous action is complete, such as a transition from the previous slide .
When Clicked – Your music will begin if you click on the speaker icon that appears on the slide. You must click exactly on the speaker icon for the music to play. If you click on another part of the slide , the presentation will advance to the next action.

After this, an icon of a speaker will appear in the middle of your slide. You are allowed to move the icon to any location you desired on the slide.
The process are completed. The music would only play for the single slide.

If the  sound icon is selected on the slide, the menu changes to show options available for sound.

Some options you can to change are
  • Preview, you can also press F5 key.
  • set up volume presentation
  • Play the sound until the end of the presentation(Loop until stopped)
  • hide the sound icon on the slide
    • Have a combo to select play automatically, across a specific number of slides or on click

  • maximum size of the sound file that can play . For default 100 kb but you can set this value to the size of your music file, up to a maximum of 50 mb.
These changes can be made after the sound file has been inserted into the presentation.
